Cowtown Diner has a new owner and a new menu! Visit the classic neighborhood diner for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The Sundance Square restaurant is about hearty, familiar fare with a culinary twist, and environments stylish enough for the executive lunch meeting but casual enough for a late-night chicken fried steak after hitting downtown Fort Worth nightlife. Located at 305 Main Street in the historic Plaza Hotel Building.
From the comfy booths to the pistachio tufted chairs, cotton-themed wallpaper and tile floors to wooden ceiling beams, Cowtown Diner has a comfortable country lodge atmosphere. There is no mistaking its diner DNA, however, as long bars with stately stools (with foot rests, of course) line the length of the restaurant. The shaded outdoor patio beckons for enjoying the often-lovely Texas weather, and a special front room with a window onto the bustle of Main Street can be reserved for private parties.

Great restaurant just off the square. The Smoked Chicken Mac and Cheese is a must.
Fantastic place...went there for breakfast..food was wonderful...wait staff was friendly and price was great for the amount of food you get!! Will definetly visit again!!
Great service, great food, nice atmosphere.
I work downtown Fort Worth. I've given this place three tries, and it has 'struck out' three times. I don't plan to go back. By the looks of the crowd, or lack of, I don't expect it to be around long.
This was one of my favorite places to take people when dining downtown until recently when there has been a menu change. Everything unique and exciting was removed and now it looks like every other chain resaurant in the city. Sorry, but I wont be back.
Since I work just across the street, I've given this restaurant several chances. The food is bland and not at all exciting. The waiters were either inexperienced or just self absorbed. But the worst experience was a large bone (2" long) in the chicken salad sandwich my friend was eating. The manager came over after we asked the waitress to get him (she wasn't going to say anything)and never really apologized or tried to comp the food. That was the last straw. We will NEVER be back.
I work across the street , Cowtown diner is my favorite place for lunch. The food is homemade it reminds grandma chicken pot pie. I love it!!
