Gaika James Quartet
Gaika James was born in New Orleans, but it was during his college years, he began gigging around Dallas with various types of ensembles (gospel, funk, jazz, reggae, hip-hop, dance/electronica), and gaining a better understanding of how to play and interact with other musicians in creation. From that journey, the GJQ is born. The GJQ is an eclectic mix of many genres, with jazz at its root. The GJQ's members hail from Dallas, West Texas, the Bay area, and southeast Texas. The GJQ will have you groovin' Thursday evening at Scat Jazz Lounge. Showtime is 9 p.m.
The popular nightspot is located at 111 W. 4th Street, Ste. 11 in the historic Woolworth Building, basement level. Look for the alleyway entrance off of 4th Street between the Worthington National Bank and Jos. A. Bank Clothiers. The club is open Tuesdays through Thursdays and Sundays from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday's hours are 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Saturdays 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Closed on Mondays. Don't forget...Happy Hour drink specials are served each Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Mack Goldsbury, Duane Durrett and the Texas Connection, with vocalist Victor Cager take the stage at Scat Jazz Lounge, Saturday, May 19! The musical powerhouse band will formally release their new CD "Departed Voices," a CD that celebrates the music and spirit of Johnny Hartman and John Coltrane. Also performing in the quartet are Kelly Durbin on piano and Lou Harlas on bass, along with many other special guests. Don't miss it! Showtime is 9 p.m.

Sarah Kervin CD Release
An exciting night for this young and versatile musician as she performs and celebrates the release of her new CD at Scat Jazz Lounge. Sarah Kervin has pursued her passion for many aspects of music for as long as she can remember. Whether she is performing on stage or teaching others, her knowledge and intensity comes through. Sarah's quintet performs a variety of jazz standards, original works, and some jazz-influenced pop numbers, too. Showtime is 9 p.m. and there's no cover charge!
